Yep. The whole issue around whether or not it was on target should be a moot point. It was a CLEAR handball, it didn't just 'hit his hand'.

The Guardian say that "It’s given – because it was an own goal! And an accidental handball, which is allowed from anyone bar the scorer."

Regardless of the silly on or off target thing, how is it accidental if the ball would hit your chest but you put both hands to it instead?

100%. I’ve never heard such rubbish. It’s nonsensical. You can’t have the nature of the following contact determine whether it’s handball or not. If it’s handball it’s handball.
