Apparently so, but I what utter pillock thought that was a good rule? Absolutely mental. You can freely handball as long as you shank your shot. Yeah, makes sense.

I think the reasoning is something along these lines: The referee did not give the handball he is looking directly at so it then falls to VAR. If the handball leads directly to a goal, VAR can get the referee to look at it and rule it out. Then the really dodgy bit is this. Because the shot is off target and deflects off a defender, the handball hasn't led directly to a goal. That is beyond a ridiculous interpretation of the rules.

(n/t) on 17:58 - Aug 30 with 607 views | ITFC_Essex | We were damned the second Hull had the audacity to beat them, they were always getting favours today but let’s be honest, we have absolutely nothing up top to even capitalise on an average Manure performance, you can’t go into the Premier League with the bench we have either, it’s just the nature of the league. We need two forwards, two right wingers, another centre half and an actual right back.

Maguire clearly handballs it, so it should be a freekick where the offence took place. The afterwards doesn’t matter. I find the reasoning that was given as a goal completely ludicrous!!!
