Emery was absolutely scathing about him afterwards too. Think Flemming will be a better addition at this point, and hopefully Emmerson will not be out for too long.

I’m not surprised Emery wasn’t exactly overjoyed at Abraham’s efforts v Arsenal. He was dreadful. Ok, Arsenal are the best side in the country and Villa were always going to lose, but TA looked slow and heavy. At least Akpom has put some work in on his fitness during the summer.

I’ll probably proved wrong but if we were in for TA I think we might have dodged a bullet there.
