Bit too early to say how good it is, but it was a hard ask to get this squad somewhere competitive. If we'd stuck with our promotion squad, we'd be relegated already.
We do need a bit of luck in not picking up injuries in certain areas. 4 months to the next window. Think they'll be a lot of movement out and probably a few loans in then.
I'm still not convinced how good Palacios will be. Could be our best player and leader and brings others up a level or two. Could be a massive disappointment. Fair play for ambition, though. CM seems to be our strength.... or, at least, plenty of depth. Did we need Luis and could we have got a defender instead? |
I agree, quite a lot is going to hinge on Palacios as he will be first pick on the team sheet in such a pivotal posistion. Hope he matches the hype. |  | | |

Two contrasting views can be correct at the same time.
Ashton and the recruitment team allowed the club to have a really good transfer window. Hopefully this will see the club hold its own in the PL - much more so than a couple of seasons ago. Well done Ashton and the recruitment team.
