What a time to be a Town fan. You look down the squad list this time and there is so much quality.
Key players last time we were in the league now providing real squad depth, proper ceiling raisers in Palacios and Enciso coming into the team.
It really is unbelievable. There were times when signing a 32YO Jimmy Bullard on a free transfer was our ceiling raiser, our marquee deal.

Cup: Walton, Greaves, Kipré, Furlong, Nunez, Mehmeti, Taylor, Clarke, Walle Egeli, McAteer, Emersonn
That Cup eleven might even do a job against the bottom six of the League (I'm sure I've left a recent signing out of this, still trying to get to grips with teh spelling of some of them...) |  |

The Cup team is an improvement on the team that finished last season bar a missing defender!

I did put Jaden in the league eleven, over Jack Clarke - which surprised me. Difficult to gauge Luis as we haven't seen him play in an O'Neil team yet, so my corrected stab at this is:

I think eventually our midfield may end up being Florentino and Palacios tbh.
Lukic has started the season well and will get plenty of starts too but I think that might be the best combination for us. |  |

Because we’ve only had one season at this level in a long time, yes it looks that way. Not massively so, but we’ve given ourselves a better chance of staying up on paper (yes, it’s played on grass of course blah, blah).
Keeper - jury out. The same or possibly better
Defence - essentially the same; marginally better possibly
Midfield - on paper much stronger
Forwards - swings and roundabouts. Enciso key and big upgrade. Fatawu possibly slightly weaker than Hutch, but can make things happen too. Maeda is going to be a worker, but looks like he may struggle with his numbers. Strength in depth better.
Striker - the same roughly based on Flemming’s stats last season and may offer more to the team than Dalap. More quality in depth though with Emersonn. [Post edited 2 Sep 20:55]
