If somebody has access to data sites, can they look up the factual stats of these two yesturday
It seemed to me the biggest issue we had first half was our CM's just didn't seem to break anything up, yet second half it looked like they both had a bit more about them in the duels.
The ones I see and possibly the issue is that Palacious seemed to be the better creator, however he was also the one who was winning the ball back more, which to me seems to be a bit of an unbalance between the two cm's, if one's creating, then ones winning possession no?

I honestly think it's too early for this type of data driven analysis.
Palacios has played one match and his stats are probably nothing like what a fully up and running Palacios is going to post so any conclusions you draw are likely going to be misleading.

I'm not convinced we need them to play together in every game, though I understand why they did last night against a side like Liverpool.
Both very similar players, Lukic a bit more defensively minded but Palacios isn't really an out-and-out creator, he's more of an all-rounder.
Ideally against weaker sides we'd have one player of that ilk alongside a more attacking-minded box-to-box option, which at the moment looks like Nunez for us.
Wouldn't be surprised to see one of Lukic/Palacios line up alongside Nunez at some point over the next two games against Palace and Everton [Post edited 5 Sep 13:29]

I actually thought they played really well, the trouble was on the flanks
Especially on the right hand side. The ball was just bouncing of Fataua and O’Shea is turning into the new chambers, he’s not a right back |  |
