Clarke has been excellent, but I think GON will want to use the pace of Maeda early on, to attack the space in behind the fullback.
Lukic is a top player, but I am not sure about him & Palacios as a partnership, especially away from home. I thought we looked immediately stronger, more balanced & had better cover in the middle, when Florentino came on against Palace; I know it was late on & Lukic had put in a shift by then, but still we got control of midfield in a way we hadn't had up to that point.
I'm not convinced by Dara O'Shea at RB & would prefer him at centre half, but Ouattara hasn't been played at RB yet, so I can't see GON throwing him in there for this game. [Post edited 19 Sep 7:02]

I explained the reason above, why I think GON may look to start Maeda in this particular game, against a side that push forward with their fullbacks, leaving space in behind for a quick counter - Maeda has pace to burn.
Absolutely nothing against Clarke, who has been terrific for us & will play a good half hour or so, even if he doesn't start the game ... which of course he might.
I just think that GON is a game by game tactics kind of manager. | |

For me Lukic starts all the time if fit quality ,Florintino starts if we ever play a 3 in there. As on the left Maeda may get the nod if he wants to bring Clarke on, on the hour mark against a tiring defence guess we wait and see. | | | |
