Feels rare to see a team actually hitting almost exactly what the stats are. Quite encouraging, and shows we are doing OK at this point.

Feels like it’s going to be very tight this year which is probably the best we could have hoped for.
At some point, with the league basically becoming the top 4 or 5 and then the rest, a big club is going down. We’re better than before and closer to the more established, but still not amazing, lot, as are Hull, which I suppose makes sense if the model is to rip it up and buy a load of players from the continent. I'm a lot more interested in whether Hull can maintain their form to be honest. On all of the objective evidence they currently look like a much bigger threat than Coventry. If a team finishes below Coventry and survives I would be amazed.
Coventry finding their scoring boots is a bit generous - they only scored one, and we are averaging a goal a game in our losses this season!
But stranger things have happened, and I guess there's a long way to go. A tight away win at Forest is just the sort of result you need to pick up 2 or 3 of in a season to survive. A bit like our Palace result I guess. |  | | |

Everything before the season and the first five games has pointed to a high tide. Arsenal and Man City have looked stable, but manager and squad changes mean that the rest of the league is very much in flux. We could see 10+ teams sitting around 40-45 points imo. |  |

I still can't see Spurs going down personally, they have more than enough quality to pick up points during the course of the season and I would imagine that despite a dismal start they will still finish a fair few points ahead of us.
The trouble we've got is, while we know we're a decent enough side with enough about us to stay up this year, I'm not sure who the three teams are that are going to be worse off than us come the end of it all. |  |

Saw it earlier and thought the same.
For last 10 years the bottom team is always in the low 20's or teens.
Only exception in last 10 years is WBA. Bottom with 31 in 2018.
Is Opta using a US AI that doesn't get 'Soccer' cos that would explain a lot. |  |
