Halo moved in to Willis 19:41 - Oct 1 with 2145 viewsRuby

Interior colours aside, maybe the best news for the town in years. Really good company employing hundreds of young graduates right in the middle of town. Great that they're so closely tied to ITFC already. Hopefully kickstarts something.

They don't hire anyone without a degree, despite 10+ years experience in the industry. Bit of a strange company.

Not sure if i'm included in that but just in case, my comment wasn't aimed at you. Was just wondering if they had just changed the date of the story on BBC.

Halo are clearly good for the Town and the club.

I think it's brilliant for the town, I hope this attracts more businesses to locate here.

Valued at over 1 Billion with no external investment. I think their 'strange' approach is working.

Further to that, I was told they only hire new graduates, as opposed to experienced degree holders.

I think they do hire non-new graduates, but don't hire from outside for exec roles, preferring to promote from within.

I think the average age of staff was 24. Is it because of the nature of perpetual progress in IT that they want the most up to date skills and thinking and they consider experienced degree holders to be potentially out of date and without the raw energy of raw of youth. Just speculating. Seems potentially unfair.
