The Chelsea move really didn’t do him any favours - plus the same people now deriding him hailing him as the next in line to replace Harry Kane. I really had hoped he’d come back here.

It's also not a fair reflection on his overall performance at Forest so far, he's probably unlucky not to have 4-5 goals to his name already. He's going to score a few this season, he's not the next Harry Kane, never was, but if used correctly he is a very useful player, as we know. A bit like what we have with Enciso this season, he's had chances, missed a few, he's not scored yet, but he's going to, and he's going to be an asset.

Don't worry, he'll come good in his next game against, who is it again? Oh, drat it.

Arsenal? 2 weeks till Forest play us.
| Liam Delap on 13:44 - Oct 12 with 723 views | eirannach_gorm | He has fallen away as dramatically but from a greater height than Hirst. Player rating for the game on BBC website was the lowest of a generally low rating for the team. IHe would be of no benefit if he came back to us but there is great potential if he could find the right team. His price tag is now his biggest problem because he could do a Troy Parrott if it were not so high. | | | |
| Liam Delap on 14:51 - Oct 12 with 627 views | WD19 | Its lazy. He made very good contact and it hit the keeper who knew nothing about it. Had it gone in, Forest would have won at a canter and all the headlines would have been about how Delap has been reborn and the heir incumbent to Kane's throne. The truth is somewhere in the middle. He is a battering ram still learning his game. He will benefit from regular football and so long as a couple more go in sooner rather than later he will be fine. | | | |

I really like Delap but he has to score from there, he's 4 yards out with the whole goal to aim at and no pressure on him. How on earth Forest failed to win that game I'll never know, suspect they'll come good if they stick with Glasner. Ironically given the score, I'm still much more confident of finishing above Palace who looked an absolute shambles for most of the game.

He could have sat in his nice flat in Woodbridge with his best mate, been the best player in the team here and got back to the PL in one season, been in form and full fit and playing with Pala and the gang. But, he (and his people) knew best and he jumped ship and now he struggling for form and can't get himself going again.

Liam Delap scored some great goals for the Town but he NEVER heads the ball. In most games, that just doesn't work for a Number 9,

....not so sure he'd be " the best player in the team here".
