| Town fans saying we shouldn’t give Man Ci£y any abuse on Saturday… 07:22 - Oct 13 with 5993 views | ITFC_Forever | Yes, we should. As should fans of every club they play. The whole of football needs to let them know how reviled they are and that this isn’t going away, If there’s no response to them, they’ll think everyone’s forgotten about it and they can get away with it. The authorities will think the same. They can’t be allowed to get away with it…. And for those who are saying it doesn’t affect us - it does. This season for a start, given their potential relegation. And the club they have become in the last 15 years is built on lies and cheating - if they hadn’t have done that; they’d be the same old accident-prone club they’ve always been. | |

| Town fans saying we shouldn’t give Man Ci£y any abuse on Saturday… on 12:33 - Oct 13 by Mantractor | That is your opinion but there was a report recently on Bloomberg that the Premier League initiated settlement talks with Manchester City before the verdict dropped. City pulled out. This suggests that the Premier League are not so confident. Of course the report could be wrong. I have linked an archived version of the Bloomberg report here https://archive.ph/1nhl9 Just keep an open mind because CAS cleared the Etihad deal before. I do not trust the Premier League to be independent. |
Think you need to do one, spreading partial information to misdirect now. The reason city pulled out is because they wanted a no fault settlement which the Premier League and nobody in their right mind would be willing to accept from the cheats. Just another example of the disgusting way City have gone about it for years. And no we don't need to approach it with an open mind, you've been found guilty! Sick of every city mouth trying to parrot this "respect the process". The process has been going on for years has concluded and you are GUILTY. [Post edited 13 Oct 14:23]

| Town fans saying we shouldn’t give Man Ci£y any abuse on Saturday… on 14:37 - Oct 13 with 1409 views | MaySixth | Not for me to tell anyone want to do or feel. Individual decision. I'll spend the majority of my time Saturday supporting my own team and willing the boys on. The odd chant at City will be thrown in. I can see a lot of fans though getting wound up as Man City will love playing the pantomime villain. | |

| Town fans saying we shouldn’t give Man Ci£y any abuse on Saturday… on 07:53 - Oct 13 by MattinLondon | Think Man City fans know exactly what most football fans think of them. And know deep down that this will not go away. Man City fans won’t care what we think of them their anger is currently targeted towards what they call the Red Cartel that is Man Utd, Arsenal and Liverpool as well as the PL. I do think that most Town players and staff would rather the fans sing more Ipswich related songs to encourage them than sing about the other teams cheating. [Post edited 13 Oct 8:37]

A simple and brief reminder would be for all town fans attending to come up with something that lasts a minute from the 114th second. Then just get back to supporting the team. A point made, no silly dramas. What that may be, I don't know, leave that to those attending!

| Town fans saying we shouldn’t give Man Ci£y any abuse on Saturday… on 09:23 - Oct 13 by DanTheMan | Yes. Do you reckon German fans would put up with this sort of thing? I don't see them bringing banners about how much they love their owners after they've been caught cheating. It's really weird to me that people act like football fans have no agency and that you must always support your team regardless of the wider picture. We certainly have agency when the club has bad owners... but apparently immoral ones are just fine as long as the team does well? If tomorrow it was announced that Putin was our new owner, I would not support Ipswich until he was gone and I'd protest about it. |
Talking of which, anyone else see Panorama on Monday about Abramovich?😱 Sorry to digress.

Of course we won't but it would be quite something if a club did take some sort of stand like that!

Anything but League Two, and all your titles stripped will be a total injustice. You should be hounding the owners out, not backing them, you know you didn't win any of it fairly, now do the right thing and stand by football and not the scum running your club, who have made you an embarrassment on an international scale, and start protesting. |

They are a joke, everyone knows it, whether we wave silly placards or not. If we beat them, at their place, thats the best two fingers we can give really. |
It should be a meaningless result anyway. I guess if they relegate them at the end of the season and all their results stand then it isn't. I would find it highly amusing if they won every match this season and were relegated.

They’ve always had a proper core of fans and I’m sure some of them wouldn’t mind going back up through the leagues again. What do you expect individual fans to do that have done nothing wrong themselves. Sit there all meek and let a load of scousers give it large at them for 90 minutes? Go have a party and throw it back. They’re going lap it up, and what else would they do? They’re not going to care if our away support swap such classics as “football in a library” to calling them cheats by the way. [Post edited 14 Oct 4:25]

Yep. I want the book thrown at City (obviously) but I don't blame their fans for having a laugh in the situation and playing the Villains. The more abuse we give them the more they will enjoy it.

To not celebrate and flaunt gross cheating that has basically broken English football? would be nice. I don't have a problem with them supporting the football side within the game obviously, but that's not what they're doing. Makes them that much easier to detest and enjoy what they have coming though.

They know what they have coming and people will detest them regardless. For them it was all worth it anyway and I’m sure going to wembley for random semi finals is incredibly boring by now.

| Town fans saying we shouldn’t give Man Ci£y any abuse on Saturday… on 16:34 - Oct 14 with 759 views | Mantractor | Do you know the particulars of the case, because it is far from clear that City are guilty. In relation to the Etihad Airways deal, the Premier League did not in over 2 years request evidence from Etihad Airways (according to a statement made by Etihad after the verdict was released). The Premier League accused Etihad Airways of a fraudulent conspiracy without giving Etihad Airways the chance to defend themselves. This is an abuse of process imo and an abuse of natural justice. In 2019, the Court for Arbitration of Sort reviewed the financial records and witness statements presented by Etihad Airways, and found that there was no doubt that Etihad Airways fulfilled their obligations to Manchester City in full. Therefore I would be sceptical of the Guilty verdict. This case needs a High Court review. | | | |

They've done wrong yes but other teams have done similar stuff and got away with it coughCHELSEAcough. I found the Leicester changing their accounting period to get away with breaking rules and Derby's "cheating" a lot worse but maybe that is because it affected my team. Didn't Chelsea "sell" their women's team for £200m. I'm guessing that's "legal" but its still bending the rules.

Hmmm….you did say you don’t trust the PL. You should really just leave, I hear some of the national leagues are awash with dedicated football people and no money to sully the purity of the game. You should be welcoming the opportunity.

Are you not curious about the Club executives emailing sponsors to reassure them that they don't need to pay all the agreed sponsorship because Sheikh Mansour will pay the rest? Or the CFO telling another executive: "Please note that out of those 67.5m pounds, 8m pounds should be funded directly by Etihad and 59.5 by ADUG." Are you not intrigued that in email chains, they talked about a £10m shortfall to FFP, discuss getting some additional Abu Dhabi sponsorship money, then getting the money they need from the total independent sponsors, backdated and just in the nick of time? Are you not suspicious of an image rights company being used as a front for ADUG which operated at a significant loss to boost Man City's finance by hiding expenses and making bogus revenue? Are you familiar of the particulars of this case? It seems you're familiar with one particular and not much else.
