I think negligence in many cases goes far beyond mere mistake or error.

It can do. But that doesn't change what I said.

Negligence is simply where you owe someone a duty to take proper care and you fall short of what was reasonably to be expected, causing some harm.

I think we have all had nightmares thanks to that game, nothing to do with anyone falling on us!

Sad thing is, that was the last Ipswich game my late father watched on TV. He was not impressed with that! He passed away not long after and missed the promotion.

So sorry, sympathies.

Yep that is the standard neaning of negligence. It is quite nuanced, the difference between recklessness and negligence but very definite, just looked at a law website.

My dad had that shirt in the 1970s. But not the tie.

Looks like a tie shirt combo my uncle would have worn. He should be given the jail for crimes against fashion over anything else.

Who decided it should go to Crown Court, Magistrates or the Maidstone fan. He would stand less chance of being found not guilty in front of Magistrates.

Seems a waste of taxpayers money. Didn’t Starmer intend to reduce the number of cases going to Crown Court, but Burnham dropped the idea.

Wonder if he'd have been cleared had he broke the Town fan's neck?! It was a deliberate act and he should have been found guilty.
