I'm not in the slightest bit surprised.

How did he go from being a mediocre out of work Championship coach to a coach of one of the biggest clubs in the world ( though nowhere near the best)? Well his results were fantastic and got them into the Champions League. So he deserved to keep the job, but surely he'd get found out. And he has.
The stupid thing is if he didn't keep the job after getting them into the Champions League, then they'd be uproar. They were kind of forced to give it to him.

agree with you - the squad seems poisonous and or unmotivated, but they don;t really seem to have money for a clear out either. Apparently Carrick is staying for the Bournemouth game at least, but maybe they ought to give the job to Fernandez, given he knows it all.
