Coventry will be there, Hull are going to run out of luck, Palace might be OK with a new manager, Sunderland are on my list of those under threat. That Hull game next week is huge.

Manchester City will probably buy their way out of trouble, so I wouldn't say they're down.

I’d love to see City, Man United and spurs go down

But I think It will be City, Coventry and Hull

I still think we'll go, obviously I hope not though. Guess I'm just too pessimistic!

Can’t see Hull going down, they look ok.

Sunderland are in trouble!

Need to ensure we finish ahead of Coventry and Hull and then see where it take us. I'm fairly confident that City will get sent down but if we keep up how we have started the first quarter of the season I fancy our chances to finish ahead of at least one of Fulham, Palace and Sunderland

Its so hard to predict when many may change their managers soon
We saw how it transformed wolves in 24.

It's not that I think we'll go, but I'll always err on the cautious side and still assume we'll be in the mix for relegation.

8 games is nothing. Some writing Sunderland off. Win today and they're already out of the relegation zone. Similarly Palace, win 1 and they're the same as us.

Still, 10 points from 8, I'll take 40 points and safe after 32 games.

According to the table, Hull have won twice (and drawn four time) already, this season.

We've won thrice and drawn once.

I think if we have 1 or 2 games where we have won perhaps 2-0? Or 2-1 but they werenr scored at the end id feel we are getting there.

Similar to people feeling hulls style wouldnt continue to pick up points.. how often can a side keep picking up points with last minute goals.
Thats not saying i dont want us to score them of course but going into the final 5 minutes ahead would be nice.

I think if we can get to jan with 20 points. We will reinforce our wide positions and push on.

Coventry look really poor. And when teams work out you need to attack Hull and get in front …. They will falter too.

Just don't think Hull have been lucky though. They are just very very good at what they do which a lot of the prem aren't used to. What the prem can do with the quality though is work them out and the way to beat them consistently.

I'm 50/50 with them having felt certain they would be down earlier in the season. I'm a bit more confident in us but it's far from east from here.

Am I the only one who is still feeling very nervous about our own fortunes?… delighted with the start we’ve made and we certainly look a lot more like a premier league side than last time. However, we have come out the right end of a number of very tight games… We could easily have a lot lower points total… that said, scoring late goals is also a very good sign. I would just like one nice comfortable win where we are obviously the better team!

I’m not convinced that Hull will falter. They’re a very awkward side to play and always seem to find a way to make the game competitive. They only really need to win once a month and pick up a few draws along the way to keep their head above water from here on in, and I think they’ll do that. It won’t be pretty, but they’ll have enough.

I agree, they surprised a few but people have worked out how to play them now.

Sure they are still hard to beat, but as GON says draws don’t get you far in this league.

Cov bottom, Hull, then one of Sunderland/Palace/City for me.

What are the odds for both Manchesters going down ?
I confess that would make me smile.

Definitely not discrediting Hull.

They've got the same formula as Sunderland had last season, numbers don't look great, but they work very hard at being tough to beat and teams go for them more leaving themselves open 'because they're Hull'.

We need to show them a big slice of respect.

Coventry hull, one of sunderland or us,
But that depends on if they ever punish city and to what severity,

City are down, there is no way on earth they won't relegate them, could you imagine the uproar if they didn't!

As someone else said, we have been very lucky so far, could very easily be in the bottom three so we need to improve our own game a fair bit to stand a chance.

But I think we will do it.

I am refusing to assume City will be sufficiently punished until we actually see it. Still feel they'll wriggle out of it somehow.

But seeing both Manchesters drop would be delicious.

Also agree we can't assume we are safe either - we've enjoyed a better rub of the green compared to last time around, but there's still an awful lot to do.

Agreed. I think its a pretty safe bet that the highest of the promoted clubs will stay up, especially with the City situation.
