Israel general election today 07:31 - Oct 27 with 6349 viewsGlasgowBlue

Hoping Netanyahu gets beaten soundly. Too close to call in the polls. Record numbers of Israelis flying home to vote. The Israeli Arab voters could swing it against Netanyahu.

If it’s a deadlock then he stays in power and out if jail just a little bit longer.

Antisemites, Jew haters and crashing bores will be put on ignore.

Both irony and sarcasm are doing a lot of heavy lifting here.

Not sure it translates to the medium of text!

"They break our legs and tell us to be grateful when they offer us crutches."
Poll: What you watching.

I'll bear that in mind for the future!

And I suppose it brings to mind the time when I got a downvote for saying (as a joke) that Maeda's grey hair made me concerned he was prematurely ageing.

It's not a term of endearment. It's how he's widely known in Israel regardless of people's views of him.

it is originally a term of endearment, it may have been adopted by the populace but that does not change the fact that the roots of the name comes from his family. Using it kind of humanizes a monster. If it is used by his population then it belongs to the population. Would you get an Israeli referring to Mrs Thatcher as Maggie. I doubt it.

Is there no end to the number of posters you’re currently having ‘beef’ with?

There must come a time when even you decide to have a period of self-reflection and consider the ridiculous possibility that you’re actually the problem?

Nah, probably not….head back in the sand and trust that one of the backing singers swoops in to mash the downvote in a show of solidarity….

Sometimes I giggle about the frothing lunatic who’s put me on ignore and now has to constantly log out to see what I’ve said. Beneath that counterfeit persona lurks the same pitifully desperate egomaniac.

What I struggle to get my head around is how the media and seemingly most of the world are talking about him and this election as if this a perfectly normal democratic election with him as your big standard, average Joe valid candidate. Why isn’t the only question being asked ‘when is he appearing in front of the ICC in The Hague and, if not, why not?’. It seems like we’re normalising genocide and giving validation to a likely war criminal. Or am I missing something/over-reacting?

Poll: Escaped Goat of the day. Who’s it going to be?

You're doing neither.

It's a creeping, long-standing, disgraceful stain on so-called civilised western democracies.

Good work by Philogene...... GREAT WORK BY PHILOGENE!!!
