I’ll give this a go. Hope they have improved a lot of things from the poor 26 release.
I was pissed that the one season they skipped a release was the only season we had been in the prem for 20 years (typical). Although I’m much more excited about being able to ‘manage’ palacios et al,
Cue 2 months in where I have somehow alienated palacios when he asks for a random pay increase and now he’s insisting that he leave the club. Fair to say I’m no GON. |  | | |

A couple of spoilers:
- Palacios is absolutely unreal on this game. Heads and shoulders above everyone else in the squad.
- He's already on almost twice the amount of the second top earner, so any pay increase would cripple the club.
It's definitely an improvement on FM26, even on day one release. Those expecting a return to FM24 might be disappointed, purely because it's still running off a different engine. But the navigation and immersion already feel improved. |  | | |

thanks for the link, i should try it out. But if, like me, you are still waiting to see if it gets to be as good as fm24 etc, sortitoutsi have a data update that is updated for this season, players, ages, contracts, promotion relegation etc etc and you can start in summer 2026 |  | | |

Forget which year it was but in one early years you couldn’t select to Manage Ipswich. When you contacted them they posted you a floppy disc to update. TWTD |  |

I carried on with 24 with an updated database. Don't have the instant hatred to 27 that I did with 26 but certainly don't love it yet.
No squad changes for 1st window other than loaning Outtara out as his stats aren't great unfortunately.
