There's simply no pleasing some people 19:37 - Oct 31 with 3622 viewsjasondozzell

We're watching Enciso and Palacios in Town shirts and the are OUR players and instead people are more interested in muttering conspiracy theories about Walton.

Completely bonkers.

Wheeling out the entitled sign for the 4th season in a row now.

With Ashton saying we are here to stay, can you really blame people if they are feeling entitled. Ashton is setting the wrong tone to me. If we are going to be here to stay, we need to maximize strength in every position to the best of our ability, hence scrutiny of players is natural whether at C.E.O, manager OR fan level. It is just a measure of our ambition, nothing more. It is a tone set by Ashton which fans have bought into. Personally I think Ashton needs to keep quieter.

People are reacting to us dropping two points at a relegation rival. It’s not much deeper than that. If we want to establish and kick on, that’s a game we have to be winning.

I think that is over-egging it slightly. I think a better statement would be "that's a game we don't want to be losing" and we didn't.

FWIW, I agree that it is 2 points dropped given our first half dominance. However, I would have taken a point before a ball was kicked and I would have taken a point at 2-1 down! In the grand scheme of things I don't think the result was a disaster. Frustrating, yes, but not a disaster.

I do also agree with the sentiment that shipping goals every game is not sustainable long term

I don’t think it’s unreasonable to be extremely disappointed that we threw an away a golden opportunity to get three points against an expected relegation rival and fellow promoted team.

To dominate a half the way we did only to concede two awful goals and find ourselves behind was so frustrating. There won’t be many games this season where an opponent concedes the amount of possession that Hull did. In fact I’d go as far as to say we will not have higher possession stats between now and May.

We had a real chance to put some space between us and the bottom three. There is a reason that we have conceded more goals than any other side outside of the bottom three. Too many defensive mistakes and a goalkeeper who with the best will in the world is top level Championship at best.

Most of us are extremely happy with the quality of players in most positions of the squad, the positive start to the season and the spirit in the club. But it’s not sustainable to concede an average of two goals a game for the rest of the season and expect to come out on the right side of results. TWTD seems to be the logical place to voice those frustrations.

Spot on.

Spot on.

The vibe around yesterday's game is very similar to that of when we went to Southampton in 2024.

We had beaten them home and away the previous season and to get a draw was an anti climax.

Antisemites, Jew haters and crashing bores will be put on ignore.

I think it's exactly because people can see how much quality we've got that people are frustrated by our weaknesses. We don't want to risk losing the massive leap forward we've made in the quality of the playing staff by getting relegated and losing players like Enciso, Palacios and Ouattara. This is perhaps the most important season for Town in several generations - make it stick and we could go on to be an established PL team for decades. Mess it up and, well... Yes it's harsh on people like O'Shea and Walton to get stick, but unfortunately that's the reality of our position.

That's the 200 million gamble. But from what I have seen first hand fortunately every game whilst there I am happy with what the manager does. I'm not sure if this is the right terminology, but is O'Neil a Premier League version of McCarthy? In the sense he has the ability to grind it out against the odds?

He is just as pragmatic, although fortunately seems to produce more attractive football - that's probably just down to a better calibre of player, tho! Absolutely the type we need in the post for the moment. Hopefully we'll be working on our defensive set up big time in training next week.

TWTD CP. Evans Out.
Poll: Neil Young or Lynyrd Skynyrd - there is no middle ground.
