Indeed, that song has an additional poignancy for me because both my dad's parents and three of his siblings were born in Leith, and my mum went to the same secondary school as Charlie and Craig.
As a result, it is a song that I have requested be played at my funeral.
EDIT: as an aside, my dad might well have been born in Leith were it not for the fact that his parents decided to up sticks and move to the relative safety of Saltcoats following this.

Could we not adopt Castle on the Hill for a mass sing song? Its by our most famous fan and its about suffolk. I can imagine FPR sounding wonderful. I know we have EEB but its not anthemic is it?

As an exile, I find Castle on the Hill very moving but there's something about its arrangement which makes me feel it wouldn't work well for us as an anthem.
