fwiw I thought the 25th anniversary of our UEFA cup run back then would get more acknowledgement than it has done, but I think as I mentioned on the Torpedo Moscow one, people forget things easily.

I was there. As a treat for the thousands who travelled, Burley gave Darren Bent his senior debut. What a player. There was a combination of friendly locals and high-jinx among Town fans, flush with the novelty of the first relatively close European trip for nearly 20 years. Was there with my dad as a 12 year old. Think he would have had a better week out there without me but was a hell of a trip. We stayed in Copenhagen. Got a VHS at my parents house of the trip that dad camcordered, got Marcus Stewart's majestic chip on video. Should probably find it and see if I can get it digitised and on YouTube at some point. | | | |

The nostalgia I get from watching clips of that European campaign is off the scale. Wasn't lucky enough to make any away games but saw Inter at home, always said if the net wasn't on the goal for Armstrong's header I would have caught the ball.

Also remember the pronunciations of the town players on the tannoy. Mark Weenez was a family favourite for a while.

It was definitely Harry's bar. I've got a picture of Sheepy on people's shoulders.
The staff in there were brilliant too, taking multiple orders simultaneously in their second language and keeping everyone hydrated. All with a smile on their faces too.
Came back to Ipswich and waited about 10 mins to get served in a not very busy pub.
