Bizarre business loaning him out, surely just out of necessity as we couldn't find anywhere for Palmer? He looked the better of the new keepers during the pre-season and I was genuinely surprised he was the one we loaned out.

Now he's injured, not having played this season and coming back here anyway.

Is he allowed to go back out on loan in January to any club in the UK or Europe?

He will be back to full fitness by then so hopefully he can get a good move and this season will not be wasted.

Easy to say that in hindsight!

He got loaned out because he's had less than two years of senior football with one of those coming in the Dutch second division.

He got loaned out because being in the match day squad and fighting for the starting spot is a much better use of this time than being our third/ fourth goalkeeper playing with the U21s.

Has it worked it out? No.

Would he be better off being here right now. Also no.

Will be interesting what happens in January as he's not played for Valencia so can still play for us and or another clubs this season.

Or maybe we took the opportunity to sign a development player for a relatively low amount of money.

I honestly feel he could be our No.1...

He's probably about 3/4 years away from reg senior football with us let alone prem now. Quality ball playing Keeper, but he can't catch a cold.

"Better of the new keepers"

Really?

his distribution was great but we never actually saw him make a save in pre season.
