| Time for Palmer? 09:34 - Nov 2 with 2257 views | Wallingford_Boy | Scherpen dumped in the bin, Walton now looking more and more of a liability, what's next? Palmer? He has never really let us down. Slicker still around? A new keeper signed in Jan? What a mess! | |

| Time for Palmer? on 10:08 - Nov 2 by Wallingford_Boy | O'Shea has been outstanding for us and Kipre is miles off the required level, so that one is a big no. Greaves is a great option on the left if Davis is unavailable, but again, not a change I would be looking to make. I still think we are missing a top level keeper and a top level goalscorer, but I realise those are probably the two hardest positions to get right! |
O'Shea is never a Premier League level player. Just fell over against Forest last week which led to their goal. Nearly did the same thing late against Fulham. His defending in Hull's first goal is laughable and non-league standard. Fell over again late in the Hull game nearly causing a mix-up with Walton. He constantly flops to the floor looking for fouls which arent there.

| Time for Palmer? on 10:57 - Nov 2 by Garv | Flemming has the same number of goals as Emersonn in far fewer minutes (zero starts). For me he's looked useful most times coming on. He's there to cause chaos for defenders and be physical, he's not going to look as silky as Emersonn. If anything he deserves a start. |
One was a penalty though, he runs around a lot, he looks busy, not much quality there, he doesn't look like a £20mil Premier League footballer, he looks like an £8million Championship player who got a move after one good season at the top, and has reverted back to previous form as he nears 30. I'd be surprised if he got 5 for us this season. If this was George Hirst the daggers would already be out. Akpom has as many goals from open play.

Incredibly harsh! The Hull defending was shocking, but he is an 8 out of 10 every week normally.

What a bullshit post. He was excellent in the Championship for 3 seasons before he got his PL chance. He scored 11 goals in a crap Burnley side last season, 2 in 2 for a crap Burnley side this season before his 2 goals in 134 minutes of league football for us, including the winner at Palace. He can't do a lot from the bench. And he's just turned 28.

| Time for Palmer? on 09:47 - Nov 2 by ITFC_Essex | Are we forgetting crucial saves made in recent weeks by Walton give us the vital points we've needed to stay clear of the drop zone already? This hyper fixation of the keepers is becoming the new normal here at Ipswich. The same with O'Sheas contributions. Neither are Premier League players, but they have both massively stepped up this season and have done far more good than bad. If we're calling for Palmer, who equally isn't a Premier League keeper, are we also looking at Kipre to come in for O'Shea due his mistakes? Greaves in a left back every time Davis thumbles? An elephant in the room relative to the money we've spent that doesn't seem to get mentioned by anyone is Flemming. Hardly inspiring when he comes on, if that were George Hirst he'd be getting pelters for those largely flat performances he's had for Town so far. |
I think you've stymied your own argument. " Neither are PL players ". It might be pertinent to ask why they are playing in a PL team in that case. As for Flemming, he's much more of a box player, than a run the channels, drop deep etc type of forward. He can do it at times, but that's not his ideal game.
