| Charlton’s first goal 13:30 - Oct 22 with 1269 views | Illinoisblue | Their player gets the ball on halfway and runs unchallenged to the edge of the box to get his shot away. Watched it about ten times now and it gets worse every time. And exactly what Boro did countless times on Friday. Shouldn’t happen at any level let alone what we’re aiming for. | |

I wouldn't go overboard in defending O'Shea, he didn't defend it well, but why were no midfielders around helping out? DOS is back peddling having to try and win a header, there's no physical way he can head it in air (i.e a normal defensive header), it's only going to drop. Someone's got to be getting back sweeping up. I suspect Azor would have been.

Completely exposed. Where was Young? Where were Nunez and Cajuste when he won the first header? Far deeper problems than just one individual.

| Charlton’s first goal on 13:54 - Oct 22 with 1072 views | gainsboroughblue | A player, wearing red, running unchallenged towards the Churchmans goal to score? Certainly felt Marsden-esque to me. At least it wasn't half a dozen players playing the part of the parting seas this time though. | |

| Charlton’s first goal on 13:59 - Oct 22 with 1036 views | ArnieM | OP: Every team that breaks on us literally " walks" or runs straight through our 2 man midfield. But McKenna will not change his tactics..... Bring back Morsy and team.him up with Matusiwa and either Nunez or Jens. We need 3 in MF. This is why our defence is under pressure from break aways and why our front line doesn't get the service.... poor midfield support! | |

What you say is true, and the way we defend as a team is hugely concerning, but O'Shea is supposed to be a top championship defender, with pace. Even left 1 v 1 he should not be getting completely rinsed by a midfielder that hasn't played above league one until this season. Do you think Tuanzebe would have conceded from that position? I don't. If O'shea is not able to defend average players 1 v1 then what exactly is he good at? Not great in the air, not great on the ball, not great at reading the game. I'm struggling to see where he excels to be honest.

Spot on re Walton. That injury is probably the worst bit of last night, as it could have long lasting effects.

Spot on Homer Watching it back Oshea didnt actually do much wrong, the first header, hes watching the ball in the sky, young should be tucking in when he notices we don't have a cm close to oshea, that header was only going one place. Bit im caught on is whether davis should bust a gut to cover the greaves man, this then allows greaves to move over and oshea can let greaves cover the inside whilst he covers the outside.

Walton has always struggled to get down to low shots.
