Sunday Round-Up: The pick of the TWTD forum for the week 08:01 - Nov 16 with 759 viewsBlueBoots

Morning all

Where to start...?

Well, week started with those up the road sacking their manager, and are now carefully weighing up their options to avoid changing status from a tinpot to an ironpot club. Discussions here:

Couple of players singled out after our recent run of results (Jack Clarke already had a thread of his own started last month, which is still going strong ) - you can read and add to the love-ins here:

Bit of discussion this week about Sam Morsy's future, even before it came to light that he's been training at Wolves:

And another discussion about someone who could have been playing for us this season...

Away from the football, nice fun thread with people sharing their most embarrassing stories carried through from the previous week. Yet to add mine to the list, as still trying to work out which of my Top 10 deserves the top spot

Main political talking points this week have been a potential challenge to Keir Starmer's leadership, changes to Income Tax, the cost of living crisis, and Reform UK

And finally, 2 of our resident wind-up merchants posted their weekly threads...onceablue is taking bets on Keir Starmer being out of a job by the end of the year, and I'm still trying to work out whether Churchman is trolling us, sponsored by Heinz, or has an addiction that requires an intervention:

Happy Sunday all

P.S. Just seen that Benters boiled water thread...

...is in danger of escalating into a classic TWTD start a fight in an empty room 10-pager - play nicely people

Excellent summary!

No, I’m neither trolling or sponsored by Heinz (wish I was!). I was simply sharing my culinary discoveries and delights for the benefit of you all.

So yeah, an addiction that requires medical intervention.

Just an occasional service to the board when I have a few free minutes (as I found myself with this morning before my Sunday bike ride)

Thank you

Just to analyse how bad this addiction is, would you (for example) consider a nice Victoria Sandwich sponge cake where the standard filling of jam and buttercream has been replaced with jam and sandwich spread?

No, that’s insane. Nor would you put it on ice cream, a hot crumpet or roast beef.

Victoria sponge cake is cake of the gods and perfect as you described it without SS. Not that I get to enjoy it or any other cake too often.

Edit: I am not alone in appreciating Heinz’s finest:
