Frimmers FT thoughts 19:54 - Apr 6 with 660 views

Evening all

What a lovely day of results for us.

Our game itself where to start.

First half was very mixed. I felt mcateer was a threat and great to see KM went with him when wes couldn't make it as we had that right side balance at its best. Mcateer showed some positive features. A shame about the first two attempts but lovely finish for the third.

We had imo a very bizarre first half. But finished it strong. The injury to azor helped us as we ended up becoming more attacking. But I guess thats where it them hurt us going into that second half.

So second half..

I think KM has shown hes more than happy to make tweaks to players roaming in an attacking sense. We saw this first half with the way clarke came inside to find the ball instead of staying out wide.

But what frustrated me 2nd half was km didnt seem to do anything about the brum threat. Time and time again they were having joy down our right but that started with them getting through our midfield with ease.. I think the subs came a bit late and they weren't the right subs imo. Never the less we won the game and thats the important thing.

This part of the season. For the teams fighting for promotion there wont be any easy games. There also wont be any nice comfortable games. Nerves are natural and its gonna hit everyone. I think alot of that was on show for us today too. But also you could see how un match fit alot of our players seemed to be

Nunez. Mehmeti. Neil. Philogene. You could tell for different reasons they were not able to represent a fully fit player.. hopefully today has helped with that as we go into this batch of fixtures.

Compliments to the defenders today. Felt they did really well. And whilst yes johnson had a great game... I still feel we struggle both two right footers on our left. So davis coming back will be a big plus.

Anyways. 2nd. 2 games in hand. Have to play boro.

For various reasons we had to dig really deep and grind out a result today. I think we did that well. They proved they can be a very decent team. They were better than us 2nd half. Stansfield and their sub Osman in particular had great games.

No easy games in this league. No shame in hanging on. We won. Boro and Millwall didn't. We're not always going to get things go our way. We have to fight for it.

Great day. Our victory should not be lessened just because it was only Brum.
