As usual, an arrogance on here from some 14:33 - Apr 25 with 1091 viewsJohn_Warks_Willy

- We’re in control of our destiny still
- Weds eve to Sat Am no time at all
- Pressure must be suffocating but they’re just about getting it done, should be admired as most would cave in. Look at Midds this season.
- who cares if the team isn’t good enough for the prem, that’s a next season problem I hope
- West Brom looked truly solid, and in a false position.

Feels like Middlesbrough fell away due to the loss of Hackney and Whittaker, rather than caving under pressure.

I don't quite get where the arrogance is in most of those. Or do you mean the arrogance from those who expected us to win and don't recognise the rest of what you have put (in which case I agree)?

Very tough game.

Our team who have no fight or bottle ground out yet another key result.

We haven’t caved under pressure though. We took 2nd place 6 games ago, and will still have that 2nd place going into the final game of the season.

Poor day on TWTD on 14:44 - Apr 25 with 862 viewsunstableblue

Complete entitlement

Fixture jam

Playing one of the in form teams fighting to confirm safety

Recovering from the Valley

Hot day, tough atmosphere

Of course Town were poor, but the draw was essential for me (less pressure at St Marys), and WBA were excellent

This is a pragmatic season. But we still pay nice stuff for large passages. What are fans expecting?!?

Finishing the weekend in second with Southampton being unable to catch us Tuesday is very big.

I think Southampton’s result at home to Bristol and Milwall’s at Leicester were slightly worse than going to an unbeaten in 10 WBA that barely concede a goal and had a points deductions yday.

Poll: Ok gut feeling then, promotion?

The OP seems to suggest Middlesbrough caved under pressure.

Criticising the team isn't arrogance. You being all superior about your views is arrogance.

You must be gutted eh? Another terrible day for the weirdo clan.

In the spirit of reconciliation and happiness at the end of the Banter Era (RIP) and as a result of promotion I have cleared out my ignore list. Look forwards to reading your posts!

Can't argue with any of that, I think the short turn round time and two loads of travel was not helpful. We stuck at it and were the better side in the final 30 minutes, when logic would suggest, given the above, that the match would have played out the opposite way to the way it did.

No point in worrying about the PL, we aren't there yet, and sadly I think many of the players would find that one leap too much. But they here now, playing their parts. Just 3 points needed fom the 2 games left. Judgements can be made when the season is finally over, for now its just about backing all concerned.

West Brom is never fertile hunting ground. The first half was rubbish, and if not for the big improvement in the 2nd half I might complain, but it was definitely a valuable point either way.

I hope for 3 at Southampton though so we can have a good piss up without the constipation induced by needing to win against QPR
