A quick glance at socials and it appears he's gone! 19:18 - Jun 9 with 2545 viewsITFC_Essex

McKenna that is, everyone running with Talk Sport as gospel that he's gone and the speculation is being driven the McKenna end (via agent) that he want's to move on.

I expect the truth is somewhere in the middle, his agent is probably putting out feelers, but without the urgency to move on from the McKenna end of things. I do however, like with Palace and Brighton, expect McKenna to meet with them and I would expect Ashton will work to match anything they offer to keep him here.

We could have probably done without this again, this summer.

Not sure Fulham will pay him more than us. IF he goes, it will be because he sees them as a better option of staying up and progressing his career.

The Khans are wealthier than Gamechanger by some stretch, they can afford to match and better us on anything (PSR depending).

Plus they will have a stronger transfer budget and player pull, something we cannot match this season.

Frankly, if someone on the socials told me the time, I'd phone the speaking clock.

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

I guess if both parties will match anything the other can offer, we can look forward to McKenna staying while the two clubs are engaged in an infinite game of offer and counter-offer.

Many mistakes here.

PSR no longer exists. It’s now SCR.

The Khan sports empire is worth less than $10B. The Arizona Public Safety Personnel Retirement System (partial owners of Town) alone are worth $14-15B.

Fulham have one of the smaller revenues in the PL. Ours is likely to be similar this season. Our wages and player costs are much lower. Under SCR, unless Fulham sell a big ticket player, our transfer budget is likely to be higher.

What evidence do you or anyone have that the “speculation is being driven the McKenna end (via agent) that he wants to move on”?

Better to stay silent and be thought a fool than open your mouth and remove all doubt

I stand correct in some respect of PSR being rebranded, but Khan is worth $15billion - the Pension lot aren't even our full owners.

I fail to see how Fulham, with what 4 seasons of Premier League money, media, merch, and all the likes isn't allowed to spend more than Ipswich, who have had 1, and as for player worth, they have many more players worth more than ours are. Explain how they are more limited than we are by the new rules? Because gate recei9pts and shirt sales are largely worth squad compared to media rights these days, so I cannot see how they will be forced to spend less on that basis.

Won’t they have a load of players on prem money, ie the ones who cannot secure a move to a bigger club? The ones that had little impact?

The fact that the pension fund is only one of the investors behind us is precisely my point - just the one have more money behind them than the Khan’s. Add to that the $12.5B behind Bright Path Sports Partners. Do you now see the point? A recent sports article claimed that we as a club are now amongst the best funded clubs around.

You also need to read up on SCR if you don’t understand the other point. I’ve posted about this a few times in the past few weeks if you’d care to search. Put simple, SCR is a ratio of club staff costs (this includes amortised transfer costs) to revenue. To be fully compliant, the ratio should be less then 85%. Our PL revenue is likely to be close to Fulham’s (check equivalent accounts), but our costs are much lower (calculated from our last time in the PL, adjusted for player costs added since then). We’re operating at a ratio of ~50%. This gives us much more headroom whilst remaining compliant.

PS The Khan Sports empire was valued at $9.88B 11 months ago. This is in the public domain.

Marcus Evans was in the top ten of the Times Rich List when he took over.

The amount of money you have 'on paper' means büggerall if you aren't prepared to spend a large percentage of it as we found out to our (and the Stadiums) cost.

And the 'pension lot' are still our majority shareholders.
