Seems to be the consensus on here but media still saying Gary O'Neill in running.
I wonder if there are any other names under consideration. Whatever happens, just keen to get it done soon. So much to be planned and players to be recruited, feels like every day counts to get us ready for first game of season.

Interesting, is your friend the sort of person who might have access to such photos? If not, where has he supposedly seen them? I'm starting to hope it is Ole now.

Does not sound nailed on at all ... they are just the only two candidates to be linked by journalists and it sounds like Town are in no rush to appoint anyone.
'Sky Sports News understands Ipswich Town have held talks with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Gary O’Neil over the vacant managerial position at Portman Road.
They are two of a number of high calibre candidates under consideration.
It’s thought the club want to narrow down their search in the coming days with the aim of having Kieran McKenna’s replacement in situ by the end of the month.'

OGS has been a fairly frequent visitor to Portman Road over the past year. Not surprisingly there’s shots of him in the director’s box. Bit different if he’s holding up a scarf or shirt though.
Better to stay silent and be thought a fool than open your mouth and remove all doubt

BREAKING NEWS:
Ipswich Town have decided to go into the Premier League season without a new manager. It has been decided the role is to be absorbed into the joint-Chairman and CEO role that already exists and so Mark Ashton will take charge of the day-to-day running of the team and match day commitments.
It remains to be seen whether the current coaching staff will stay the same.

Ill be honest and say I cant say for certain how or where hes seen these photos. But I think it might be someone he works with who does have connections at the club. But if course as is often the case this may not be reliable. But photos are phits aren't they...he also said OGS id booked into the Salthouse but under a slightly different name.... I suspect we are waiting for the legal stuff to be completed b4 anything is announced (as you'd expect), whoever the new manager is...
But FWIW, I think OGS seems the logical choice. It keeps continuity, at the Club. The staff mostly all know one another through Man Utd links. He knows how we play. Hes frequently at the club anyway. And of course the link with KMK would mean it likely Ashton was talking with OGS as long ago as 2-3 weeks when McKenna had spoken to MA but nothing was at that point disclosed.
