According to Argentine press, we've been chasing San Lorenzo's Paraguayan international keeper Orlando Gill since March 2025. We're advancing our move for him, apparently, ahead of Torino. 6ft 6 keeper.

$6m deal apparently.

6 ft 6? Bloody hell.

(Actually, I thought I should check Christian Walton's height before posting this. 6ft 5 apparently).

If we're still doing the whole "personality" checking thing from our previous transfer manifesto then I'd say he'd probably pass with flying colours.

Great, touching article about him here https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/fo

He could breathe new life into our defensive unit.

More like the best bits of Aro Muric, with seemingly a more grounded/humble personality.

6ft9. Too big!

Actually, this goalkeeper height business got me thinking (been a slow day). Joe Corrigan in the 70s was always though to be a giant. Only 6ft4 apparently. Go back a generation, Lev Yashin - 6ft2. Back a few years before that - Bert Trautmann - again, 6ft2.

Modern goalkeepers hey.

£4.5m for an international goalkeeper who is only 26? What am I missing? You would think a lot of clubs would be all over this given he currently has the world looking at him at the world cup.

He should be great in goal when you look at how fast he moved around in The Lord of the Rings.

Just in case anyone wants a translation - @DiMarzio reports that Torino 🇮🇹 are interested in Orlando Gill.

👉 San Lorenzo believe the Ipswich Town 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 deal will progress and that the goalkeeper is headed to the Premier League.
