Keep seeing posts since yesterday's link that his goal scoring record isn't that great in Scotland and lazily comparing to the Brum striker who hasn't scored many there.

The comparisons are ridiculous. Maeda is a winger/wide forward. I see him more in the Wes Burns mould but who has played more consistently at a high level. He scores goals but also works very hard for the team and is stronger than his size suggests. His goal scoring is more like L1 Wes Burns so obviously been doing it at a higher level for club and country.

Think he is a really good club man. Grafter with talent that will set example day in and day out. Would love to get Morita as well.

For balance I'm not sure Maeda will set the prem on fire and score 10+ in the prem. But he will contribute a lot to the team.

I think he will likely play one of the wide forward roles though in GON's system.
