Aussies are in a mess. They are showing over-loyalty to a great bowling line-up, but who are creaking with an average age 35-36. They really should have introduced the next gen by now. Laubuschagne has been out of form for years now and they are still too dependant on Travis Head (who is rather out of form) and Smith. Looking forward to the Ashes next year. Really would not suprise me if Stokes was up for one last challenge, now the dust has settled.

Yes and no. As Catch74 says it just underlines how much of a missed opportunity the last Ashes Tour was. We should have been beating them out of sight.

Despit the posture and bluster of McCullum and Stokes, mentally we were beaten before we even bowled a ball. Despite that first day when the bowlers were on fire, there was no inner belief that we could maintain it.
