We have to win tomorrow just to be level with bloody Hull.

Sometimes I think about the frothing lunatics I’ve put on ignore, who will have kept replying to me again and again, but I don’t even realise they exist.

on 0.3 XG as well!

I don't think that's sustainable all season in the PL with the players they have, but then again underlying figures had them finishing bottom 5 in he champ last season.

Brilliant viewing this. Cov really are awful and Frank looks really grumpy. Things you like to see. Maybe that will knock some reality into their pretentious heads

I would like to see all three promoted teams survive, but the way the pundits hadn't learned from two years ago and polished Coventry as the next shiny thing has rapidly become irritating.

That was their MO last season, of the 3 promoted teams, tbh they were probably set up the best to compete, as the squads were at the end of last season.

Hull are going to get 30+ points if they sign Fofana I think, they’re manger, style, combined with the keeper signing is going to give them a punchers chance in some games.

We just have to keep picking up as many points as we can, it's far too early to worry about keeping up with other teams. Would be ecstatic with a point tomorrow.

Yeah I remember someone saying that early in the season two years ago. Hull are a relegation rival. We need them and Cov to pick up as few points as possible.

I think people have forgotten about how hard it is to finish above three teams in the Premier League. We would hope that two of those three would be Coventry and Hull.

Interesting stat from BBC
β€œ
Only three teams have ever been relegated from the Premier League having won their first two games, though one was Hull in 2016-17 (also Wolves in 2011-12 and West Brom in 2017-18).

Their keeper looks excellent. I reckon he'll be snapped up by a big boy next summer.

Very amusing to see, after all Famous Frank's pundit mates basically wrote us and Hull off. I've got now axe to grind with Coventry themselves or their fans(hell, one of my oldest friends is a Cov fan) but the media wΓ€nkfest over Lambard is very tiresome.

Fantastic start for Hull, 6 points from 2 games for any PL team is cracking, but for a promoted team amazing start.

We had a bloody good go at getting relegated in 1994 after winning our first three matches.

Following Hull’s impressive start I’m already starting to think 40 points at least required. Very early days though.

Shockingly bad result for Coventry on 16:59 - Aug 29 with 1846 viewsunstableblue

Huge dent in their survival chances

As Pat Nevin said β€œCoventry look like a Premier League team in their passing, but they have no X factor going forward”

They had 1 big chance across 90mins against Hull.

Hull ate in dreamland. Low block but attack with pace and intent on the break.

Could be their signing of the summer if miracles happen. He’s looked class for two games, so confident.

We could have told them that before the season started. That's what made the pundits predictions so annoying. The difference in play, and what is required, from the Championship to the Premier League is astounding. The way we dispatched them with ease three times across 2025 should have been enough of a warning.

They have Villa at home next weekend too. Winnable unless Villa get their act together. Frank Lampard’s Coventry? Man C away. Good luck with that FLC.

Well done Hull.
