It was utter nonsense of a decision.
It was handball plain and simple, it doesn’t matter that is shot wasn’t on target, it’s still a handball in the first place. If Maguire didn’t even take a shot and rolled it to someone else, it would still be a handball in the phase of build up to the goal.
Just complete nonsense, irrelevant of shot being on target, off target or no shot at all, he still hand balled it in a key moment of the game. |  | | |

It’s a handball.
He jumped into it to block the ball, not for any other mysterious purpose, and did so with both his hands. If his misses with his hands the ball hits him in the his 50p head at best and very unlikely he gets the chance - it spoons off in some other uncontrolled direction.
