Judge the defence once they have Palacios, Lukic and/or Luis playing in front. A lot of the problems stemmed from how we struggled with losing the ball in midfield.

Don’t forget the main difference between the sides yesterday was the current PFA player of the year scoring a hat-trick. Score looks worse that I felt it was.

Now is the time for calm heads, we may bring in another central defender but needs to be an upgrade.

We did. We got in Diop. But we should have got a right back in. Dara was exposed by pace yesterday and with all due respect to Furlong, he’s not a Premier League right back.

The other main difference is that they were a fairly settled side and we were largely a recently put together side, still finding it's connections, particularly between DM and defence.

The club have done amazing work but can't help feel that will be undone if we don't get in a quality striker by end of window, especially if Emersonn is out for any length of time or even if he isn't frankly.

Whilst Hirst is not at the level for PL like Akpom, that has to be a better 3rd option than trying to put Enciso or Maeda in there? We can have great #10s and wingers but you need a decent #9 in there to convert the chances and help hold up the ball when we are having to sit deep and play on the counter.
