Can't you say that about any position though? Perhaps the 10 and CM we could get away with it, but everywhere else we would have rather a downgrade. It's just where we are right now. It will take a few Premier League seasons before we can upgrade our squad to cope much better with 2 injuries/suspensions in one position. |  | | |

Disturbing how decent Kipre was at championship level managing to keep Greaves out but having known that he isnt a starter this year it is like he’s stopped. I would assume that he will be on loan in Jan based on what he looked like preseason and in this game. Whatever he is contributing in training doesnt seem to be sufficient for keeping him at a level useful to the first team on this performance. | |

I think we wanted to but were hamstrung by the obligation to buy Kipre or was it just an option we could have turned down. I am sure I read he refused a loan late in the window and therefore we didn't have a squad space to bring in another. I could be wrong but connecting dots from things read. Lets hope we don't play for not being ruthless and leaving Kipre out of the squad if we could have got a big upgrade. | | | |

We are still a couple of windows away from properly overturning the squad, we have done for the first 11 in the main and have a credible PL bench.
Further down, it's actually quite unbalanced and loads of players no way near the level for PL.
I just hope we can stay up so that we can do it properly and we don't have to rely on keeping a few of them that are out of the picture at the moment. | |
