I must've imagined us signing Liam Delap last summer
I would suggest the fact we kept the 9 shirt open (Delap obviously would have fancied it given he's chosen it at Chelsea and his previous 19 shirt was vacant) and seemingly chased Broja all summer suggests we didn't get our striker last summer in theory.
In practice, Delap surpassed everyone's expectations and filled that role magnificently. However, those Al Hamadi cameos at the start of the season show why we were almost definitely after another one.

Confident we will get a good one in. I reckon only about 5% of clubs tops get their main target In and that's probably high. The actual game is trying to get a CF as high up your list as possible
Why are we assuming we’re signing another striker? Hirst will be first choice, AAH back up. Maybe a loan in, but I’m not convinced we have a heavyweight signing on the way

Fotis Ioannadis, played at Ibrox last night. Didn't score. Got subbed after seventy six minutes. And he was captain for Panathinaikos too. Would he still be prepared to join us now we are in the Championship ? Would we want him after he helped Russel Martin to a first win in charge of Rangers ?
