Where's he been hiding it?
That third goal is absolutely electric and on that showing he is the 'moments' player who is capable of goals from nothing, which I think is something we've actually lacked for years even during our incredible success since 2022.
There are still times when you want him to be more direct and not slow the play down, which I felt he did a couple of times in the first half. But those finishes are pure quality.
I've called a spade a spade since he arrived and been very critical, but if he keeps doing things like that tonight I'll admit to being fully converted.

His confidence was sky high, and playing against a team with none.
He took full advantage of that and fair bloody play. Was the bits he did other than the goals that stood out. The way he took the ball in his stride, and working to win it back. He played really well tonight. |  |

Yes he struggled last season but anyone who watched him in the Championship surely couldn’t write him off so early this season. All his goals were good finishes and the combination between him and Leif was as good as any I’ve seen since McKenna has been in charge.
Plus Clarke getting another goal. We can’t get carried away after one result but I think there’s a lot more to come from the team but let’s be prepared for a few more bumps along the road. |  | | |
