Really enjoyable spectacle. I'm sure there will some of the more edgy and eager to please posters along soon to point out it's pub league and not worth bothering with.

3-2 Rangers. Get in!

You have to say that was a great 4th goal for Rangers there.

Imagine had Martin not hamstrung them earlier this season.

...and so it will soon revert to the old firm 1 and 2. Boring!

This season in the SPL has been anything but boring this season.

If that does eventually happen, doesn't make it boring.

Not boring but poor quality. Im old enough ro remember when Scotland produced brilliant footballers on a regular basis. Sadly that hasn't been the case for a few years now.

If it happens every year for best part of half a century, it does make it boring.

I grew up in the final decade of their embarrassment of riches … although I do remember Greavsie ribbing the Saint about the quality of their keepers.

A humdinger at Ibrox is probably more appealing than a hummer to be fair.

In the last 8 years the Premier League has been won by either Man City or Liverpool.

In the last 6 years La Liga has been won by either Real Madrid or Barcelona.

In last last 13 years Bayern Munich have won the Bundesliga 12 times.

PSG have won Ligue 1 7 times in the last 8 years.

I always find it odd that people use the Old Firm dominance as a stick to beat the SPL wirth when it's not much different anywhere else.

Antisemites and Jew haters will be put on ignore.

I get your point .. but there is some heavy lifting going on there .. Celtic or Rangers are the only champions for over 40 years and I haven’t checked but I guess the monopoly was pretty similar before.

Yes but with TV money now dominating the European game, every other league seems to be going the same way as the SPL.

Since anyone other than the Old Firm have won the SPL, there have been 9 different winners of the English top flight, 5 different La Liga champions, 7 different Bundesliga winners and 10 different champions of Ligue 1. We could have our third different Premier League champions in as many seasons this year.

The SPL is extremely predictable to the point of boredom and like many leagues of it's size will only get worse as the top teams in those leagues benefit from Champions League riches, leaving the rest behind.

Correct.

The SPL has been rubbish for nearly half a century. Sadly, distribution of wealth from champions league money has turned many other leagues into similar Mickey Mouse territory.

I believe I'm right in thinking that Martin O'Neill has the first, second and third best winning percentage scores of all Celtic managers ever? (in respect of each of his three stints in the job) Just glanced at the history and that seems to be the case, which is mad. (I appreciate his last stints have been short, but it's still remarkable for a club with so much domestic success, and also by extreme contrast to Wilfried Nancy).
