So what the hell does he do now? 18:18 - Apr 19 with 3030 viewsJoey_Joe_Joe_Junior

Made a load of changes at looked awful and flat at Pompey.

Charlton must win but I think WBA is as well and basically 60 hours later. I guess some will be forced anyway but it’s going a clear headache. Players already look exhausted.

Poll: Ok gut feeling then, promotion?

We have to play the same team again. Then bring on the subs when fatigue sets in.

Check his bank balance and savings accounts and laugh at how naive Ashton and co were when they thought he was leaving them.

Never forget that on 7th. April 2021, for ITFC, the Game Changed.

He's a good manager but he's not a top manager and never will be. Too rigid. I actually dont think he knows what to do now.

This rotation policy has been very hot and miss. More miss. Especially away. We lose the consistency.

Yes, I wouldn’t be surprised. He’ll do what he’s done all season, which is rotate through most of the players ahead of Matusiwa irrespective of form. It’s no surprise we’re struggling to find good partnerships and understanding, but it does allow us to manage fitness.

He's a good coach but he's not a good manager, yet. It's only his first manager job and had it just 4 years so given time he'll learn, hopefully.

Have to wonder why so many players look tired when we rotate to the extent we do.

First half we didn’t, we went at them with energy. Second half we struggled in midfield I think Matusiwa being subbed means he was struggling

I honestly though Taylor looks absolutely spent for the last half hour. He did work hard but his legs had gone tracking back. I would be bringing Cajuste back for at least the bench.

2 or 3 times chasing back Taylor looked like an 800m runner struggling in the last 50m, head rolling and legs like heavy lead. More concerning was he didn't play midweek!

To me, it seems like he's doing two people's jobs at the moment. Matusiwa hasn't looked right since returning from the dead leg.

He had a really poor game I thought. Maybe its the injury but he looks off it on and off the ball.

Will be another five or so changes, will start the game sluggish and probably concede.
Get back with an equaliser and then the usual 3 like for like subs and we will look lost again for the final 20, either conceding another to lose or hang on for a point.
Rinse and repeat for the next three games, untimely losing in the play off semis.

End of the season, McKenna and Town mutually part ways, Ashton goes nowhere spouting his Brentesque quotes and we rebuild the team for the fifth summer running.

Or…we rediscover the form of two seasons ago and batter Charlton, WBA, Southampton and QPR and get promoted (I can dream)

Watch Leif, every time Boro attacked or scored he was jogging back out of position, whether he’s injured or lacked th inclination to get back who knows

Matusiwa and Taylor were excellent first half, but both tired a lot. Noticeable when we were soaking up Boro pressure second half that when Boro hit a brick wall and moved it out and backwards to reset, neither Matu nor Taylor were able to press out to deny them time.

Other teams tire too - we just need to make it count when we have our dominant periods.

Keep The Faith.

Good work by Philogene...... GREAT WORK BY PHILOGENE!!!

Exactly that. He's quick isn't he taylor? Always thought he had a really good turn of pace but was running in treacle at times. This isn't a go at Taylor. I think he put a lot into the game but it was shocking how his legs went.

For the second goal I was also screaming at Philogene to go with the runner. For all Davis did wrong Jaden should have been tracking. He was hooked straight after.

It's a big problem for the prem. Technically Nunez and Mehmeti are good footballers. But they are painfully slow in terms of pace. It's a problem we have I think. Ashton talked about the need for more athletic signings but we didn't do it. I think Mcateer was with that in mind. Decent today but he has a lot to do to make it.
