Palace were messed around by McKenna last time in fairness, and it took a massive wedge to keep him here. I assume unless they changed owners or whatnot his bridges are burned there. |  |

He did also perform better more recently, with fewer resources.
You’d have to think that might be a factor, and our 22 points, another factor.
If they wanted McKenna after their European success and cup wins, £8 million buy out wouldn’t be an issue. KM may or may not want it, but based on agreeing heads with them and Brighton before, I’d suggest he’d go.
They don’t want him. 100% for footballing reasons.
Good for us. We need continuity and to see what Ashton and McKenna can do this time with resources.
He needs to prove he’s at this level.., EFL success isn’t that, we need almost double last times points to survive based on this season, it’s a great opportunity for McKenna.
If he can do it, and has stayed through and entire cycle of growth, some big clubs will be very interested I’m sure.
At the minute. There are better, cheaper, more proven, less risky, options.

Apparently Steve Parish has always favoured managers with Prem experience, which is why a lot of Palace fans were surprised when they went for Glasner.
I'm guessing Parish is working on the basis Lampard has more experience in the Prem than KM, and last season has demonstrated Lampard still has some ability to deliver success |  | | |
