Statement signing, free agent, thrives on building a team spirit, managed at the highest level.

Hope there’s a European manager ala Brentford, Brighton appointments but can see GS being interested in a way back in and I wouldn’t be adverse to it.

I know he’s marmite for many fans

Has positives Cool and calm, ala McKenna great at squad harmony and building team spirit.

However lacked greatly in the tactical dept for me compared to the modern manager, often felt when we needed tactical adjustments in big England games it didn’t come, and cost us.

The only Muff in Town.

Would have taken him with Steve Holland but we have missed the boat on the latter

Great at team spirit (with England) not good technically. Many times when England needed change, he didn't see it. Did very little as club manager before. It's a no from me.

People need to stop this now.

No.

Look at his club management record.

He’s not just marmite, he’s out of date marmite.

Never to be considered please.

One of the most successful England managers of all time? I'd love him to be Ipswich Town manager- but I can't see it happening.

I'm not sure he's all that interested in club management these days.
I did wonder if he'd potentially take the Crystal Palace job...

Stop what.

Every manager grows and he got to 3 finals that ‘better’ managers never did.

I will admit I am not up on all the European leagues and up and coming managers but who would you go for personally.

I like TF but should we write him off after his time at Spurs. In my opinion I’m reluctant due to Brentford pushing even further forward after he’s left. Does it make him bad, going downhill, unlucky or just a bad fit.

It is all such a debatable subject and anyone can argue for anyone which is the beauty of it

No, we supply managers for England. Not the other way round

Better to stay silent and be thought a fool than open your mouth and remove all doubt

We had Taylor, Morsy, and Jack Clarke not Harry Kane, Jude Bellingham and Saka.

And who were we playing against. Not top international teams, in the biggest competitions in the world with a squad that was together for a matter of weeks.

Not aimed at you personally but some people do under estimate how hard international management is.

I think Southgate did a fantastic job, and it’s about as tough a job as you can get. But the players he had were the envy of almost all world football.

Kmac had half a league 1 squad in the premier league

The only Muff in Town.
