| I’m hoping (and expecting) to see an England team that is high intensity… 08:20 - Jun 17 with 1149 views | unstableblue | … this evening in the 20c aircon on a good surface. No sitting back and soaking up, getting right into Croatia with some waves of attack, relentless till the first and second goal. Will be harder in the higher temp games, but the opposition will be deeper, and we can adjust. But despite Croatia ageing somewhat - Modric, Perisic They have quality at big clubs in Guardiol, Sucic, Kovacic, Stanisic. Won’t be easy. Press predicting: Pickford James Stoned Konsa O’Reilly Anderson Rice Madueke Bellingham Gordan Kane | |

| I’m hoping (and expecting) to see an England team that is high intensity… on 08:40 - Jun 17 with 1073 views | TheGentlemanViking | It does seem like the conditions will be perfect for England to play on the front foot. I just hope that the long, often gruelling seasons that the team have had doesn't catch up with them, that said I don't think England have looked particularly convincing under Tuchel ever when they have been fully fit! I've heard Saka is fit to start, so I'd imagine he will. I can't see any merit in dropping Guehi, natural left-sided CB and certainly the best defender we have, If he wants to shoehorn Stones in surely it makes more sense to drop Konsa? Seems a bit unbalanced otherwise. | | | |

If Rice is fatigued from the season and can’t do is high energy game style, think Englands chances will seriously drop. Saka who does seem to have a knock being fit is positive ad he’s better than his understudy. An injury to Anderson and our chances will also falter. Kane does seem to be in prime condition though. I’d much prefer this team: Pickford James Konsa Guehe OReilly Anderson Rice Saka Rogers Bellingham Kane

If Stones is fit, I would pick him all day long. By far our best defender, and has the ability to start counter attacks.

That helped with many Arse games just gone, it must be said.

I would put Rogers in ahead of Bellingham at 10, but I wont be unhappy if Bellingham plays.

I'm not sure he's fully fit. He does have a mistake in him, but generally good.

Rogers is more talented, but Bellingham is all about moments. If you need a goal in stoppage time Bellingham is probably your man. Start Rogers.

I think Bellingham has had one memorable moment for England, the fairly average overhead kick against the giants of Slovakia. He's not really turned up much other than that. Certainly not commensurate with his hype. 48 caps, 6 goals? Meh. He was amazing for Madrid for 6 months back in 2024, but he's not hit those heights since.
