Increasingly feels like we're in the 'Terminator films were real' timeline on 18:04 - Jun 17 by BlueBadger
Frankly, I'm astonished that those missiles didn't behave like all the other rockets he's launched and blown up within 45 seconds of launch.
Much as I dislike the bloke, that's sonewhat unfair. SpaceX's Falcon is currently the best smaller-payload low Earth orbit delivery system and the only working one having substantial reuseable parts, with an extraordinarily low failure rate.
It feels like a rapidly accelerating inevitable slide towards a technofascist future very much as you imply.
The technology is remarkable, moving remarkably fast now (partly under its own steam) and presents better profit lines for our terminally unregulated, unlimited expansion goal-driven capitalist system.
I don't see any way that ephemeral technology will be limited by regulation, and certainly not by good will.
We didn't know how to limit ourselves for our own good is probably going to be a suitable epitaph.

I follow the advancements in AI quite closely. One thing that keeps coming up is how neither China or the US can afford to 'lose' the AI race. Neither can afford to get behind because they would never recover. So no, it appears extremely unlikely there will be serious laws covering AI

The bloke is an absolute tool (Musk not you 😜) however your statement here shows how little you are aware of what SpaceX does or the process has been made in this sector.
This is highly impressive and is a complete gamechanger
Fake news some (normally orange skinned) might cry! Be careful, you're starting to share traits with Trump....
