I've only seen him this evening, so I'm not saying he's a viable target, but it feels like he's the sort of player that we should be targeting once the scouting system is fully up and running.
Playing in the Segunda in Spain, so would likely be available for a decent fee.
Some of the other links got me thinking along those lines - being touted with €20m-€30m moves this summer, having been signed for a couple of million only last summer.

I watched him against Uzbekistan the other night and he dropped an all time stinker. He went off and they pretty much scored immediately. However, he clearly thrives in space, and struggles against a low block. | |

Yeah, apparently a free transfer to Almeria (according to Transfermarkt).
Like I said in the OP, I'm not touting him as a target specifically, but it shows that a good scouting network would mean we don't have to default to £20m fees for decent players. | |

I definitely agree with the original post and the one above that our scouting network needs to be better and we need to identify emerging talent earlier in the football food chain before they have several moves and become quoted £20m-£40m players and get them at the point they’re say £5m-£10m undiscovered gems who we turn into £30m-£50m players.
We will still need to buy some players who are closer to the finished article for the upcoming PL season however also player trading and getting in players who we can make large profits from, such as Brighton, Brentford and Bournemouth all do, will also be key to the clubs financial future. |  | | |
