I am sure when Ensciso gets over the line he will be starter in the number 10, but really intrigued to see who competes for that position as we have options.
Egeli - played much of pre season in the 10 and looks much more energetic off the ball, pressing and has had lots of good moments linking up the attacks. Looking much more comfortable there than on the right (despite playing RW vs Union Berlin).
Mehmeti - only played in the 10 for us in preseason, and always looks busy, and brings intensity. One who looks like he can still be effective for us in the prem if he gets a chance.
Jack Clarke - played in the 10 vs Union Berlin and gets a goal and pre assist for Emersonn. Looked really involved there, roaming and can draw fouls in dangerous positions and pull the opposition around. Wonder if Maeda starts on the left and Philogene stays, does Clarke play as our back up 10?
Certainty have options there and O’Neil has now seen these all play in that position where 4231 looks pretty nailed on to be our main formation reflected throughout pre season. [Post edited 16 Aug 14:54]

If Enciso is needed as a striker, we will need another playing 10. If Jack Clarke can maintain what he did yesterday against Premier League opposition I think he will be first choice for that situation. |  |

Enciso played the majority of games for us in the left sided attacking berth, but did play the 10 or single player behind Delap a few times.
Maeda is going to start left so I expect Enciso will play 10 at Man U after Egeli starts there against Sunderland.
As you point out we’ve now got some nice depth in left attacking mid and in the 10. |  |

Jack had a great game but i don't think a pre season training match is a good barometer of how good he is in the role. Not sure he would have the same time or space in the Premiership. A bit more aggression in that position is probably required. | | | |
