Played 5 times last year. Legs will definitely be going. From what Cov fans are saying they expect him to start alongside the Swiss lad.

Some career he's had to be fair. Was playing Isthmian Prem at 23 and premier league 5 years later. I saw a lot of him in his early career and he was solid, but always struck me as one playing above his station a bit at Brentford, credit where its due though. Monster in the air and reads the game very well, age might be an issue now thought. Cov will be hoping he's a solid enough sticky plaster for the next couple of seasons. Great for him to get a 4 year deal at 33.

Oh absolutely. Would never knock his career - a meteoric rise. I first saw him for Dulwich Hamlet and he was a towering presence. Also did very well for Brentford over their first few seasons in the PL.
Just feels like a step too far to expect him to steady the Cov ship with his trajectory heading down. | | | |

As you say an amazing career
Aged 27 when he first played in the PL, had been playing non league up to the age of 24, when he moved to Barnsley.
Brentford fans laughed when Thomas Frank said I can coach these championship players to perform at PL, especially when he included Pinnock.
Imagine Town fans this season if GON had said a player was going to be our main CH, a player who had played most of his career in the non league.
