Anyone else having to do a bit of a double take 13:21 - Aug 27 with 654 viewshomer_123

about our transfer business this summer?

I mean, Ashton made it clear we were going to approach this differently this time around but this is getting a bit surreal isn't it?

The Club have, genuinely and absolutely, gone for it.

We are operating at a completely different level it now seems. I'd argue not 1 or 2 levels but several or more.

This Club has never, ever, seen anything like this in it's history.

Not really, I was convinced with the ownership group and success of a few teams last season we’d do it completely different than last time. That’s why I was so nervous and about going back up at the first attempt as favorites, was desperate for another opportunity a few years on.

Didn’t think we’d get a Palacios type deal done though. That’s a step above expectations.

We're talking about players who have 40+ Argentina caps, and a forward who has 11 England caps and a few years ago was banging goals in for Roma regularly.

Not 35 year olds either, they're 27 / 28.

Investing £20m fees in young talent like Enciso, Fatawu, Emersonn etc.

Lets hope we can bring it all together into a cohesive squad. We've not finished higher than 18th in the PL for 25 years, this is as good a chance as we've had since to do it.
