We didn't play too badly that day. Just couldn't get going. A young Cameron Humphreys got out muscled in the build up to their goal iirc. But he did brilliantly that season and was so important. Played more than would have been expected.
This is all mad isn't it.

Awful game, a goal that was 50% our fault and 50% good skill and then a total failure to force a decent chance. And then no trains back to London so ended up getting a coach to Heathrow and then the Piccadilly line a week or so before Christmas. |  |

Yep, it wasn’t a good performance from us, backed off the scorer so he pretend he was Maradona, then didn’t create any meaningful chances thereafter. | |
