I agree. As somebody who loved the mountains skied over a number of decades (passably and badly!) these people have my full respect too. In many ways skiing is one of the ultimate sports. They are literally on the edge of what is possible and the consequences of it going wrong? Most ski racers wind up recovering from multiple serious injuries during their careers. Talk about skill, technique, nerve, determination.

I’m sad ski Sunday has been abandoned.
