I'm feeling very dry after a long day on the sauce yesterday given the 10-hour round trip on the train, but that first half was better than anything I saw from us in the entirety of the last PL campaign, so I'm feeling pretty good about a few things.
One thing that has struck me though, had we somehow come away with a point, or even all three, could it potentially have favoured us keeping our powder dry for the remainder of the transfer window? While there was plenty to like in that first half, I think the result probably makes it pretty evident that we still need reinforcements if we're going to give ourselves the best chance of having a proper go at it.
*I'm looking for an angle here to get me through my dull head.
