I was a season ticket for 10+ years, through the championship relegation, through the league one era before i had to call it quits due to moving country.
I have managed to get a ticket for tonight and i'm buzzing... (last game i was at was Norwich 23/24)
But just sharing how absolutely wild it feels that when i was last going to PR regularly in league one, the squads we were playing teams like Accrington Stanley, who had such minuscule squad value (and the football in many of my years there was absolute dross!)
Tonight the opposition will have 3 100+ million pound players. That is blowing my mind!!
So good to see how far our club has come in a short few years :)
Gutted it all had to happen whilst I was out of the country though haha, you could say im the opposite of a glory hunter...
My first Premier League game watching town (first ever game with my dad was Southampton 2005 when I was 8yr old)
It's been a long journey haha. Can't wait!

Just got super lucky today. Opened the website, said there was 1 ticket available in the whole stadium, so very quickly purchased it! I think someone must have just put their season ticket up for resale. Now everything sold out again... so just luck i think!
I'm also back in the country now as of a couple months ago, so have got a membership, although not sure that mae any difference in this instance! | | | |

Being a member absolutely made a difference - you need membership to purchase a ticket according the ticket office automated e-mail reply:
Any returns will show online to eligible supporters: you must be a non-season ticket holding member or season ticket holder with membership to purchase. |  | | |

Nice, yeah membership definitely helped. I've been reading about the new changes this season. Sounds like sharing season tickets is more difficult so there will presumably more tickets go up for sale at random times like the one you nabbed.

I got one resale (a random that popped up after we’d sold out) and I’ve seen others do too. There’s someone just posted about putting one back up for sale.
For home games is definitely worth getting a membership as you will be able to get tickets for a lot of the matches. The restricted view ones in the West are soften going and they’re not too bad.
Away games not so easy without 15+ points and especially if they’re small allocation, localish or a novelty factor (like new ground with Everton). The best chance is if we get tonked every week - that puts some people off for some reason. |  |

Thought about posting something similar myself! Haven’t been since we player Shrewsbury at home (which I think was Morsy’s debut) and I am absolutely buzzing to be back. Live in south east London and work a lot on Saturdays so it’s difficult to get to games sometimes but absolutely chuffed to be here. Good to get a pint or two in the Wolsey beforehand. What a journey we’ve been on from both a near and far perspective |  | | |
